Happiness is relative. Think of all the people that say marriage would make them happy and others that want to be single. Same with money - it contributes to happiness for some.
We always gossip about those people that have it all but are not happy and that's because we're thinking in absolute value.

I don't know if killing ones self can bring happiness. I can't see how it could. If you think of the body as a space suit and a gas mask that allows you to play in this field of existence I can't imagine how you could be happy without it. You'd just be somewhere else. If you weren't happy here, why would you be happy elsewhere? isn't happiness a choice? You can choose that anywhere, no? I hope I've helped you to see other possibilities because there are so many.

Happiness is absolutely relative.Yet it can be relatively absolute. We all define happiness as feeling good, being at peace mentally and physically.Yet happiness could also mean to be mentally and physically straining oneself to knowledge.

Happiness is truly relative term. For example living in a hut is form of happiness for a vagabond but for the person who is already in a hut will long for concrete house. He will not be happy in the hut.
Generally if you have what you want, you will not be happy. If you do not have and get it fresh, then you will feel happy for sometime. Then the same thing will not give happiness.

Happiness is of two types. one is ephemeral the other is permanent. All enjoyments of this world according to the taste of every individual is ephemeral and does not last. For egg If you see a good film the happiness may last for few hours, if you eat tasty thing the happiness last for few minutes, when you get lost in the Ecstasy of God you have a lasting happiness.

happiness is relative. it depends on how you perceive what can make you happy. however, happiness should not be abused in a way that your right to be happy overlaps others' right to be happy.
everything in excess is not good.
killing oneself can never be considered as happiness. it is an escape from sorrow or deep sadness but not necessarily the answer to reach it.
happiness depends on our state of mind. let's take note, however, that without sadness, no one will be able to appreciate happiness.
