At Christmas, the Salvation Army has an Angel Tree at the local malls where you can buy gifts for kids and seniors who may not otherwise receive anything.
I'm not aware of any others.

Check out the Gap Red products. Half the proceeds go to Africa to provide necessary medications otherwise unavailable to the population.

Besides what Judy said, check your local area. Check newspapers (adds, under sales, yard sales) You could have American Legions, VFW, churches or other such groups having such sales. Some communities have separate Advertiser papers. They might have such things advertised.

Why not make a donation to your favourite charity? The gifts they sell are not usually that great ... how many birthday calenders do your friends/family need?
