I think marriage is a beautiful thing. Just because your marriage ended after 31 years does not make that relationship a failure, it just means that was the end of it. People change and if you don't change together it takes two very courageous people to make the decision to go against the common grain and end something that is not working. I would say that you are very lucky to find love again, and if you feel your union with this other person will add to your positivity and growth, then by all means love him like you have never been hurt and begin another union that will increase your quality of life. Just make sure that you are doing it for the right reasons: because you are in love and want to express that by marriage and you feel ready and trust him; don't do it just for the sake of being married. Good luck and Goddess Bless!

Fear is natural, just think of it as a door and open it up. You won't know what's on the other side unless you do. Fear of loving, fear of losing? See what it is and face it rationally. No one can guarantee you won't lose this new love. But so what? Should you miss out on years of happiness because it may one day end? Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Go for it! Happy days to both of you.

Tell him of your fears.

Also, talk to a lawyer, and protect your property, income, etc., before you jump. That way, if things go wrong, you have some protection.

If you are afraid to talk this out with him, or if he doesn't like you having a lawyer, then i think you should run now, before the marriage.

Good luck to you.

just make sure your house stays in your name, just incase it doesn't work out, there are benefits to marriage as well as pitfalls.i married a second time after being divorced 20 years, and i thought it was going to work out, but it didn't.luckily the house was in my name prior to marriage and i didn't loose it,but things can get fairly ugly when theres a divorce, all the love goes out the window, and they try and beat you out of things.just enjoy the marriage but guard your property.

i am young as hell and i can relate. i think that if you are sure that you should definately do it. i dont know your age but if you were married for so long then either it is because you are sure or because you are looking for something to fill that void. you should definately think it over. maybe you are really lonely or too depressed and if you are like me i think i am sure but have certain doubts. MAKE SURE IT IS RIGHT FOR YOU BEFORE YOU MAKE THAT DECISION OR ASK HER FOR THE SECOND TIME AROUND

Well, every relationship is different, I would only hope that this one was more perfect in your eyes that your first marriage. If it isnt, get out while you can, even if you love her. Good luck!

Do not marry again until you are sure, keep dating until you are sure that you want to marry.
