The Sabres are owned by billionaire businessman Thomas Golisano. He started PAYCHEX, a payroll service company. With that kind of finacial backing, I don't think they are too concerned with corporate sponsors.

Mr. Golisano has made a political bid in the past for NY state Governor. I think he should give it serious consideration again. This state could use someone who knows how to handle finances.

They are owned by Thomas Golisano a Rochester, NY billionaire who runs the company Paychex.

He bought them from the John Rigas family after the Adelphia cable collapse after John and his sons drained the company dry by embezzling money.

It has been also rumored that if Mr. Ralph Wilson, the owner of the Buffalo Bills, ever decides to sell them then possibly Mr. Golisano would be interested in saving them from leaving Buffalo as well.

Contrary to the previous poster's answer.............Adelphia went bankrupt and Thomas Golisano bought the team.

As a privately owned entity, they have no 'corporate' sponsors per se. The team does generate revenue through advertising with HSBC Corp being the largest 'sponsor' during the Adelphia days.
