We shouldn't vote just for a party. We should vote on the issues and the stands that the individual candidate endorses.

Some people don't want to do the work of finding out the truth about individual candidates' stands and just pull the lever for a party instead, or for someone they've just heard an ad for, or somebody else told them to vote for--voting blind and ignorant, basically.

You're right, we should know what/who we're really voting for.

I think it's hard to do so. Now I voted absentee for the elections in FL and guess what, I voted for 1 indepndent and 1 Republican while the others are Democrats. I focused on the issues candidates represented my issues and just did that. But there was 1 race where only 2 candidates were running and both represented my issues so I went for the one with the most experience.

Although a large number of voters will say that they are Republican or Democrat, they really aren't. They just don't know that they aren't. In actuality, most are Libertarians but are too uneducated about politics to know it. Check out the web-site of the Libertarian Party and find out what you are.
Congratulations on your voting. And keep doing it. Too many never vote and then all they do is complain.

I am a democrat but would vote for a Republican if I felt he was the better candidate. It just so happens that since I have been able to legally vote I haven't seen a Republican that deserved my vote. It isn't sane to vote only by party...but just like on the grade school playground we typically stick with our groups.

It's a fair question. My parents never voted. They never influenced me with their political opinions either. When I grew up and discovered the reality that anyone wealthy enough to run for office was probably corrupted in the process of gaining such wealth. I understood that you have to vote for the lesser of two evils until you get one who is willing to do what you want them to. In this case I would say that we should vote against the current administration in every election leading up to and including the next presidency because nobody currently in office has done enough to protect us, our borders or our resources. Vote with your heart and your mind and you will have a clean conscience for doing the best you could.

The PUBS have become so good at demonizing their opponents that it is hard to unseat them. They are like cockroaches when it comes to getting them out the door. It looks like they have finally stolen enough rope to hang themselves.....but stay tuned, people without consciences are hard to beat in any arena.

I am indeed a Democrat, and am not quiet about it. Find me a Republican better suited for the job, then we'll talk.
