sound like you still care for him but if you don't really want to take him back, you have to go cold turkey. just ignore the calls, no IMs, and if there are kids involved find and mutual person and you drop the kids to them at one time and let him pick them up at another time. good luck

It's best when breaking up to go cold turkey for a long while afterwards. The idea that you can just be friends is foolish I think. The break-up implies a breach in the contract, which can never be mended. Some vital component of love and the potential for a long term commitment has been irrevocably lost. So all you can do is move on, and keep moving forward.

You need to take a good look at the situation and decide what best for YOU in the end. If you're having trouble deciding what to do (which I know, is hard when you're inside the situation) seek outside help, there are many low cost/free counseling services out there, maybe a fresh perspective will help clear some things up for you.
Good luck!

guys are kind of like drugs....sometimes they keep callin sometimes the supply runs complete dry, but either way ur gonna go thru withdrawls and the best way to get completely over them and start a new life...either slowly move him out by not returning as many calls until you return none, tell him straight up to back off...or if u really REALLY are still felling you need to talk it out, see if u can move on with him or move on without him. sounds like u might just need closure. hope that help'd a lil...

hey, i am like in the same boat with you, i have liked this guy for ever, but its the other way around he doesnt like me that way...i dont think but i like him that way, i guess the best thing you can do is give it a try and if it works than thats great, but if you dont give it a try than you will never know if it would have worked out better this time. Good Luck!

You broke up with him for a reason. Best is to cool down for a year and then start fresh if you still wants him.Cooling period is very important, because it will give you a clear mind to think. Then you can think what is best for you (with your best unclouded judgement).

Get your focus on your job or some hobby, get out more often with your friends and for God sake don¸t answer his call for a while cause it only makes you more vulnerable.

you should keep it in your mind why you broke up with him in the first place. ask yourself if these reasons have changed, has he changed, etc. if not....move on....also keep in mind when someone is losing someone they will and do change until they get you back...so be careful. i say if you can tough it out a little longer, you are better off.
