Why did you put the terrorists in quotes? Do you think it's imagined, or that the government invented them?
I would blame whoever was responsible. If it was the terrorists, I'd blame them, and whoever supplied them the nuclear weapons. If it was the government, I'd be very afraid.
In the event of a nuclear attack, I don't think the government could be blamed, unless they orchestrated it, or if there was ample warning. However, if those who launched the nuclear weapon (or weapons) at us used "stealth" missiles, there's no way we'd know about it until it was too late.
It's a scary thought...and unfortunately, it's all too possible.

I'd blame both the terrorists and the government who has allowed them to come here while refusing to protect our borders so that corporate America can have cheap labor while overpricing the products we buy from them. It takes two to tango.

If a nuclear attack happens, we will be facing the most severe crisis in the history of humanity. There will be little time for placing blame.

Blame the government for not standing up and denouncing the use of force by any peoples except in self-defense as the higher moral principal this country was founded upon and has strayed so far from as to be nearly unrecognizable. Jesusy Republicans and Hippie Democrats are equally to blame for this fiasco. This country was born on reason and the inherent respect for individual thought and action, not the touchy feely welfare state and religious bible thumping insanity it has become.

Given the choice terrorist or Gov't , probably the gov't for provoking the behavior , if any country doesn't want peace we ought to close them out and take care of ourselves. We have the ability. If any country doesn't want peace we should not allow them into our country untill they solve their problems in their own country.Grow up and enjoy the world and its beauty or stay home and have your hissy-fit.
Did you know that in the 1980's there were enough Nuclear warheads to blow the planet up 44 times! Is anything really worth blowing it up once?

ya of course i will blame this for goverment . coz the leadership of buss has been a problem for america . he may think that the things he is doing is correct but the impact is going worse in the mind of others countries and the people within his own country also . in saying of world protectoin from nuclear attack he is himself pushing his country towards it.

I don't believe a nuclear attack will happen here...if it does I will blame the government...we should have tracking in effect to see if this is coming and should be prepared to counter immediately. Of course, those planes...was it 45 minutes that they knew they had been hijacked? Another reason I would blame the government? We are alienating too many countries...I don't think Bush understands the term "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."
