I can't remember how to find the % of a number...
example: 15% of 375 = ? or 25 is what % of 425 ?

% means 1/100, so 15% is 15/100

15% of 375 is the same as 15/100 * 375

Using the same concept, x% of 425 = 25

x/100 * 425 = 25

x = 25/425 * 100

multiply by the '.' of a number, as in, 15% of 375 would be 375 times .15 also, you can divide the number by 100, then multiply the result by the percent numerals you want, as in (375/100) times 15, for instance.

of means multiply .... is means "=" ...per cent is (n)/ 100
15 % of 375 .......... 15/100 * (375) ... .15(375) = 56.25

25 is what % of 425
25 = n/100 * 425 set up ratio of 25/425 = n/100 2500 = 425n
n=5.88%

15% OF 375 IS SIMPLY (375*15)/100
SIMILARLY
25=(425*X)/100
=5.8%

just convert % to decimal 15% = 0.15 then multiply by the other number
