What would those who know say is more "Consumer Grade" ? DTS, Dolby Digital, something else?

Please don't try to sell me anything. And please, we all feel the need to be heard, but if you don't know, don't have any surround sound knowledge or experience, or have not at least searched the web a little bit, your withdrawl would be appretiated.

Also, to those who willingly provide the best of their knowledge, feel free to include which 5.1 format is your favorite.

i think they are in this order ....from better to best.
1. dolby
2. dolby digital
3. dolby pro logic II
4. DTS
