Everyone has a free will. We all have choices! The violence is because the masses chose violence, hate, prejudice, war, crime, rape, slander, abuse and arrogance over tranquility, peace, understanding, tolerance LOVE!

Violence is the choice of the world! Do the world not spend more for weapons than for school?

Consider; one nuclear aircraft carrier with its full complement of planes, personnel and munitions, at sea for a year, cost more that the entire US education budget - all levels, public, private, religious, university, colleges and business courses.

By 'land' if the land of Palestine is meant then its considered holy by three major religions of the world. Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Jews claim that this land was 'given' to them according to their scriptures (Torah and Talmud) and thus used the guilt of Western civilisation, predominantly American and European after the World war II, to claim this land. The Balfour declaration was drafted by British Jews which was enforced and Palestinians were expelled from their land. Before that Pope Urbane II started the notorious Crusades against the Muslim occupants of the land (Jeruselam). When crusades ended, it remained with the Muslims who believe that Abraham is "abu al anbiya" (father of the prophets) and that all the prophets of God, David, Jacob, Moses, Jesus and Mohammad were holy and pious men. They lived in the land without bothering the faiths of either the Jews or Christians. Religious tolerance has been examplary in that era. After the Jews, according to Christianity, killed Jesus, the later has claim over this land as it contained the brith place of their prophet, Nazareth and Bethelem are sacred according to both Islam and Christians. But that arrangements didn't suit the Judaism who believe its their divine right to have complete control of the land. That is roughly the basis of the violence which has erupted after Palestenians were expelled and their homeland was handed over to the Jews in a stroke of diabolical proportion by the British. This violence can still go away if Israeli state lets the Jeruselam be an open city, as it has remained so for hundreds of year before them. Its the occupation of the Israel and stubborness to let the land be shared which has caused major violence and so called terrorism.

pretty much the same reason cain killed abel. jealousy and downright human nature to try to control land....it's sad though. you ever read the Bible, try out Genesis, the part where Abraham has a son before Issac. If memory serves me, that son came out as like, the forefather of Islam where Jacob would be the forefather of Judaism and Christianity (this is how i remember it being explained) but um, basically, you can look at it as a sort of sibling rivalry or family feud that is deeply rooted in religous differences. In either case or perspective, God bless those people.

This planet has born "fantasatic" politicians and these people are a breed apart. All the problems of the world has come to be through these liars. I guess the "living devils" (politicians) are amonst us and we need to be very careful whom we elect. Maybe we should have one religion in the whole world and things may be different. I dont know this is a very complex situation.

The whole thing is ridiculous. But the most odd thing is the muslims don't even count jerusalem as one of their most holy sites, yet they basically control access to the temple mount. Maybe they're just teasing the other people of the book.
