How To Get Better "Penmanship" Skills?

Question

I am a college sophomore and I have terrible penmanship. One of my professors recently gave me a failing grade on my test essay, because he couldn’t make out what I was writing. Can anyone give me any pointers, on improving my penmanship?

well u could practice writing

and when your not doing anything
take out your pen and paper and then start writing
and if u still think your penmanship is still not ok
you could write and write untill your penmanship will be just fine

(i had the same problem too... but now its ok)

Everyone always complements my handwriting but I honestly hate it because it looks like a girls'. I agree with the above, read a bunch of girls penmanship (especially letters) and practice practice practice! For me, the way I hold my pencil is my pinky and second-to-last finger under the pencil, and my middle and forefinger resting on the pencil. My thumb clenches everything together. It's wierd. I don't hold my pencil like the traditional chopsticks.

If you are seriously dedicated to solving your problem, You could look for free "trace fonts", and use Microsoft's Word Document to create a worksheets, just copy and paste any paragraphs you like, from anywhere on your computer, using that trace font, and print those out to practice.

You could do them at night, when everybody goes to sleep if that makes you feel embarrassed....

Don't put obstacles in your path and go all the way through.

Every one has different penmanship..Try not to use longhand. Try using all capslock when you write.

Also , practice will makes your penmanship good.
