I wouldn't be so silly as to blanket everyone with the same steroetype but the divorce rate is insane, most of my married friends have had infidelity problems within the relationship & those who stay together are rarely happy so I don't know. I know there must be people out there who are happily married for a long time & don't stray from the relationship but I think a lot of people like the wedding but not the marriage. Once upon a time we would start at a job as kids & stay within the business & get promoted & be with the one company for life pretty much but this doesn't happen anymore really. Back then divorce was frowned upon but it also led to a lot of women being in abusive marriages with no way out & any problems were swept under the carpet. I guess with freedom comes a certain amount of responsibility & if you don't know how to use it that's when we get lost.

From the things you hear on the news and on the street these days it sure seems to be so. But the truth of the matter is that you don't hear about people's good marriages, you hear all the trash because people seem more interested in others failing especially in marriage. Regardless we must each commit ourselves to upholding and practicing loyalty and fidelity and then maybe we can be part of the resurrection of these values

honestly, it seems like it is. I thought the "good old days" was just something people bored pre1970 would say because they were just old, but as I mature, I realize how much of that is true. A lot of things are becoming things of the past...

maybe to some people but not to me.......loyalty is a very important value that every holy book has an example of.if you respect god u should know that HE valued loyalty...and now talking about marriage...it is not done to have children but to have a companion....someone to share things with to talk to and tell your feelings......

You get out of marriage what you put into it.
If you want to be in a good marriage, work at it. Make it a good marriage.

Too much of any things is BAD. Too much of freedom has resulted in this situtaion in the society.

I live in India and am proud to say that I m loyal to my wife and so is she.... and we have many many such people around.

Though TV serials & movies are slowly corrupting minds of the all... we don't know where this modernisation will lead the society to....probably to where we began.....animal-ism.

I hope not, but then again, nowadays, nobody really knows what "till death do us part" means. They think it means "till I get sick of you". So yeah, it probably is. And that's sad. Cause I might want to get married one day, and I don't believe in divorce.
