Jesus taught pacifism, republicans advocate war at the drop of a hat.
Jesus said judge not lest ye be judged, republicans support kidnapping, torture, secret prisons, and no habeus corpus.
Jesus taught love of money is evil, republicans favor the wealthy and ignore needs of the poor.
Jesus advocated love for our enemies, republicans want to exterminate them and anybody nearby.
How do you as a christian republican rationalize these disparities?

Is Bush Christian?
If it is Biblically acceptable to murder/kill, as many "Christians" claim, how do they then justify that belief in light of the following:
The New Testament clearly documents the occasion where Christ was betrayed in the garden by Judas, who lead the Roman troops to Jesus. One of the disciples then proceeded to cut off the ear of one of the Roman soldiers.
What did Jesus (the Christ whom "Christians" claim to follow) do? He picked up the mans severed ear and healed him. He also admonished his disciples to "turn the other cheek" (albeit on another occasion).
Now in light of this example set by Christ (an example Christians should follow - IF they are truly followers of Christ) ask yourself the following question:
Who Would Jesus Bomb? Who Would Jesus Rape? Who Would Jesus Kill? Would Jesus Lie? Who Would Jesus Blow Up? Who would Jesus torture?

1. A nation and its people must be protected. If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.
2. You will find that SOME Republicans are not the only ones who support that stuff.
3. I have no problem helping people down on their luck, but you know as well as I do that when you have to continually help those who refuse to help themselves, contempt arises.
4. And who do non-Republicans hate? Charity starts at home.

I believe neocons are behind this movement to dry and take away the country from everyone else! How they live with their views, or better said, rationalize their views is easy! It is like Bush, once a liar always a liar!
Somehow I think they rationalize behaviour based on excusing it. It is a dichotomy, They split religion into 2 parts, one they can live, and the other ignore, unless they chose to!
Much of it is about blame and the Bible is so misquoted and used in a way that you can justify anything in it.
The real issue is they don't practice what they preach, and they use all the worst of religion in justifying it!

They both are lying. Jesus has been co-opted by the right-wing. He drinks cokes, wears Nike and has a new Old-Testament attitude and lusts to whack off heads just like his cousin Mohammed. According to Falwell and Robertson, it was not Islamic radicals who brought down the trade towers on 9/11 but, rather, their good-old-boy white-trash Christian God.
For those wayward Christian Soldiers who think that I am making this up, I refer them to William F. Buckley, Jr (from a National Review article he wrote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Invoking God’s Thunder
On the Reverend Jerry Falwell.
September 18, 2001 3:15 p.m.
http://www.nationalreview.com/buckley/buckley091801.shtml
“What Jerry Falwell said on the 700 Club program was that the sins of the nation incurred the wrath of God. Pat Robertson agreed. After a day or two of pretty general clamor, including a disavowal by President Bush, the language was slightly changed. What happened, Falwell elucidated, was not a direct aggression engineered by God, but the forfeit of God's special protection.”
-------------------------------------------------------------
This is hardly the first time Christians have tried to undermine the US Constitution and destroy the foundation of our country that is based on a strictly secular government and both explicitly and implicitly excludes Christianity, or any religion from having any place in the national public domain.

I won't get into a long dissertation on this...
If you think you are truly Christian, read John 17 vs. 6, 14, 16.
Then stop trying to tell the rest of us how to live.

no it is not we were already at war with the terrorist Clinton just didn't want to fight back and terrorists are not entitled to habeus corpus i could care less about secret prisons for the enemy and as far as torture i have not heard any proof about that only humiliation and ruffing them up but they are not entitled to the Geneva convention because they do not fight for a country or have uniforms and the enemy dose not follow it in WW2 we found German secret agents in the US they didn't have a uniform so they are to be treated as a spy and some of them were shot the same goes for the terrorist

You've made an excellent point, but republicans have always said that democrats are a bunch of godless baby killers. I think that's what makes Republicans think they are better than democrats.
We'll see in November!

Hitler also prayed in public and courted Christians and their religious leaders, so I guess it's a given for some of the most evil people to pretend to be religious to gain support.
