Some people have a very strong conscious mind which can make all the connections necessary for criticial and abstract thinking. Is it possible that someone could not have such a conscious mind but could be subconsciously genius making all the connections without being able to consciously describe them?

Yes, it happens all the time. Insight, intuition, innovation and creativity are some of the more noticable examples. They allow people to make extrordinary decisions and discoveries. Nikola Tesla, and Albert Einstein are very good examples that did not have a very good consious mind but superior "subconsious minds" It did not take Einstein long to come up with some of his theories in fact that was the easy part. They hard part for him was proving it "scientifically" and putting out the theories in words. If he did not have to do that step, he would have had hundreds(if not thousands) of theories.

Imagine what it would be like if it was not true? The lightbulbs, vehicles, and computers would not be possible because there were no previous connection that they existed or would work. The people who created them, bet everything they had on ideas that almost all the experts claimed could not be done. For some reason, they were created. It seems obvious that their minds made all the connection without being able to describe them, because they believe in their ideas despite what other people said.

The best way to get an answer is to experiance it for yourself, so I will give you some advice...

Go here, it is one of the best sites available to teach you the secrets of the geniuses.
http://www.winwenger.com/

That site is geared toward helping the individual tap the power of his subconscious mind, and head torward the road to genius. What it does is balance the subconsious mind with the concious, and making a highly effective team.

I personally recommend the "Image Streaming" technique, to develop your subconsious genius. (http://www.winwenger.com/imstream.htm)

I could go on for quite some time, and get more specific. Since you did not ask how to develop the subconsious genius, I will have to force myself to shut up.

That would be tough since the subconscious mind is a literal mind. It has no intellect of it's own. It relies on the conscious mind for reasoning and rationalization.

Sure, we all are geniuses. At least, in our own minds.

That's called self-preservation. It's why we are all the stars in our own show, why our views are the correct ones, why our priorities trump all others, and why we are justified in all that we do, ways that we behave.

At least, in our conscious mind. The subconscious mind lacks the intellect or capability to reason and rationalize, and it relies on our conscious mind.
