what year is yours, i think the early ones were purchased from isuzu and rebadged so of like that isuzu trooper and the acura suv that looked like it.

Honda passports were built in Lafayette, Indiana buy Isuzu in the Isuzu-Subaru plant. Honda Passports are/were Isuzu Rodeos.

The ORIGINAL passport WAS just a rebadged isuzu! It was a stop gap measure by Honda to get into the growing SUV market. I do not know if they started making their own version and if so, what year it was. The isuzu had an isuzu motor not a chev! but you can go to your local auto zone and have them check on a few parts like cams of valves. if they are the same, the engine WILL be interchangable!

Isuza built those trucks. It's true that Honda traded their Odysseys for Rodeos to be rebadged as Honda Passports. Isuzu called the Honda minivans Oasis, I believe.

When honda released the passport it was a deal they worked out with Isuzu to trade their suv(passport) for Honda's minivan(odyssey)
The passport itself is made by Izusu which is a subsidiary of General Motors. It also has some toyota parts in it as well. The Passport was the worst thing Honda ever did, cause it put into the thinking that Honda created that car. Even though they borrowed it.

It's a Honda sold as a Isuzu which is partly owned by GM.
