The advent of radio, T.V.,and the internet have made it possible for our political comments to be picked up instantly anywhere .
Our founding fathers could not anticepate this advance. But now your negative political remarcs can be readily used by an enemy for propaganda. Also our combat soldiers might have doubts about their combat role, and these doubts might endanger them when they face a more determined enemy. You must be focused in combat and have the will to win.

JTM--- a person can express his displeasure w/ the government using a different and more discrete venue than loud-mouth and very public protests.

Freedom of speech must not be curtailed even when it is documented in the internet, TV or radio. Freedom is the foundation of democracy and it must be respected since people can express what they want the government to be.

You're right. There're positive and negetive effect. Somehow, it allows everybody to know the truth. This is the rights of human beings. Well, in other hand, your comment about the combat soildiers are right for some reason. But in this century, people won't use military weapon or agressive actions to solve problem (while this causes more problem). Violence must be stopped.
If the combat soildiers are determined enough, they can stilll focus and win too. It's just about the people.

You've raised some very valid points. I was considering that all 'free speech' comes with responsibility. In the same way you cannot yell fire in a crowded theater or whisper, "I have a bomb" on an airplane, you should be held accountable for what you say on the internet. Nobody will punish you for speaking your suspicions, but in the old testament of the Bible, a witness could be punished in the same way as the accused if his testimony is found to be false. When you make statements of fact or libel somebody, you should be accountable for the harm you do when discovery is made that you spoke falsely.

One of the failings of this administration is in getting the populace behind our necessary function in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Muslim threat is not bound by national identity or ethnic origin. 15-25% of Muslims are of the radical variety. When national leaders work with us to erradicate the threats, we should be working with them (and I believe we are) but when the leaders of soveriegn governments are supporting the radical agenda, they should be considered valid targets of aggression. At least two nations are breathing hatred and threats against us but because of the politically correct view of military aggression in answer to the radical Islamic fascist threat, we are tieing the hands of our military to fight only a few prominent limbs of the deeper issue.
http://americancongressfortruth.com/ presents some pretty frightening facts of radical Islam that even our own administration denies.

Actually it has nothing to do with Technology, it has to do with corruption in Government. They control the media and feed us propaganda and destroy our moral values with their Sex Sells baloney. and every other degrading thing they can think of.
