well, as you've been hearing it, they are great at the begining. after 60-70K miles you can begin to expect the more major problems, of course it depends how the car was driven and taken care of... all trannys pretty much go out before the 100k mark, except if you've been driving it really slow... there is this weird knocking in the steering column that will eventually show up in all of them. Also a knocking that all of them have is at the "torsion bar" in front, and as you turn (specially when you are parking) you will hear loud popping. The dealer will tell you "it;s normal" and i'm not joking - they are aware of the problem and are working to get a fix for it - it will not really affect anything.

i heard about too many tranny rebuilds on these to ignore that it's a common problem. then the weird popping all of them have, both inside and out.

other than that they are great, a really nice drive. I dunno about the 07s, they are too new, and all were great at the beginning.

Double check that the battery is fully charged. You said it starts when you jump it, therefore, there is a connection problem between the battery & leads. Remove the battery cables. With a pocket knife remove any hard black crust from the terminal ends & battery. Clean until shiny gray on all surfaces. If it still doesn't work, remove the ground from the alernator bracket & bolt directly to the block & try. »»»
