There are 7 people in group A and 5 people in group B.

If a person from A goes to B, there are 6 in each group.

If a person from B goes to A, then A goes up to 8 and B goes down to 4.

Group A 7, Group B 5 makes sense. Not 4:2.

the answer is group A has 4 and Group B has 2. Lets see the ratio 4:2 and u say if a person from Group A goes to group B so the ratio is 4-1:2+1 so it turns to 3:3 and its equal and u say if a person from Group B goes to group A so the ratio turn to 3+1:3-1 so it will turn to 4:2 so means group A will be twice times as group B. I think this make sense.

Well, if you call the amount of people in Group A as A, and Group B as B, then formulating two equations:
A-1=B+1
B-1=(A+1)/2

Substituting in, let's say, B...
A-1=B+1 goes to A=B+2
Therefore, B-1=(B+2+1)/2 and so B= 5.
Then, by replacing B in the first equation with 5:
A-1=5+1
A=7

A=7, B=5

all persons comprehend that 2 numbers sum to ten (upload to ten) and so as that they multiply to 5. enable's say the two numbers are: x and y hence: x + y = 10 xy = 5 clean up utilising our device of equations ideas x = 10 - y substitute into 2nd equation (10-y)y = 5 10y - y^2 = 5 0 = y^2 - 10y + 5 utilising the quadratic formula, you will get: y = 5 +/- 2sqrt(5) exact then x may be the two: x = 10 - y x = 10 - (5 + 2sqrt(5)) or x = 10 - (5 - 2sqrt(5)) so our recommendations are this: x = 5 - 2sqrt(5), y = 5 + 2sqrt(5) OR x = 5 + 2sqrt(5), y = 5 - 2sqrt(5) voila
