This Q shows alot about our new generation and what we should look forward to. That morals and values arent being taught anymore at least the simple ones...to question why we should respect out elders. Why, because if we don't, then who should repect you when u get older another is because they've been thru alot more and have seen alot more than us.

its not done very much anymore, partly because some elders don't deserve respect and mostly because we don't need their memories anymore. elders were revered because they contained memories of people and events that were needed for laws, inheritance, genealogy, medicines. we have books and computers now for that type of memory.

I could go on and probably give the longest answer ever given on this site. I'll keep it short by saying, they have continued to carry the world for us, and we wouldn't be here if it weren't for them.

You have to give respect to get respect!! I think it might also have something to do with etiquette, morals, values.......but I could be wrong....

how could you be mean to old people? I mean, they're usually the sweetest people. They're also wiser and more experienced.
