We are clearly living in a world that is in turmoil. The mighty leaders fall, one by one, all not able to lead effectively. The Bible, even Christ Himself, spoke of the anti-Christ, who will come and rule the world for a period of seven years. It is labelled as the worst time in history, even since the beginning of time. If I look at what's happening in this world right now, I wonder which nation will produce this figure who will mesmerize the whole world?
Scripture, which some willfully choose to ignore, clearly spelss out the events of the last days. Some years ago thie very thought of one world, one leader seemed impossible. But now, with technology, it is oh so possible! Note however this this figure will deceive man for a period of three and a half years, crying peace, peace [which this world longs for!] but alas, after this he will set himself up in the temple of Jersualem, claiming to be God and forcing the world to bow down to him! Are people aware of this?

That is one of those "Self Fulfilling prophecies. That "Anti Crist" has been living in the Vatican for years. Remember it Christ was a Jew, if there ever was a Christ. and The Bible is based upon Jewish Religion. If you were living 2000 Years ago, how hard would it be for you as a Mathematician, to figure out that the Rate of Population Vs the death rate would sooner or later have to result in overpopulation that we have right now. We are living in a closed system. Right now people are multiplying themselves by the 6's and 7's and that just increases an already overpopulation. something has to give under all that strain.
In the 30's it was predicted that the Earth could support 8 times the number of people living on it.
I think that Birth following a geometric progression has put us beyond that point now. We would all starve to death without our technology as it now stands. Too Much is Too Much.

Don't wonder. You won't be able to recognize him (or her), its not gonna be someone obvious. But you are right, that the technological innovations as well as those already in place will provide the tools required for one person to achieve ultimate power. Look at the way Bill Gates and others are able to amass enormous fortunes, and in the larger scheme of things, they are really only a few steps ahead of us in knowledge compared to all the knowledge of the universe. All that is required is for one person to be able to attain that next step, which explains why they say the Anti-christ will have an incredible wisdom, far beyond any other person. Its as if we have all stopped maturing intellectually at age 5, but the Antichrist continues developing mentally until age 25, think how helpless we would all be. But compared to God and all the knowledge of the universe, he will possess but a drop in the bucket.
He will likely possess the oratorical abilities of Hitler, the mathematical genius of Newton and Einstein, the wisdom of Shakespeare, Plato, Socrates, the Founding Fathers, and in fact will surpass all of them.
But thats just my theory. Then again, it could all be a fairytale.

That's just a story your preacher told you to make you behave and put more money in the offering plate honey. Just as Jesus was a metaphor for human suffering, so is the anti christ. Just for fun though, I will play along. The anti-christ will be a clone created from the spliced genes of GW Bush, Kim Jong IL (He's so rone-ree) and of course, Karl Rove. Condee will carry the baby to full term but he will sprout to full grown evil within his first term of US presidency like his daddy Bush did.

Also what is with people Saying Bush is? He has never fit the bill, when has he been in favour of peace? Did it take 3.5 years to start a war? NO

Hey, we're living in it. Bush is the anti-christ, the similarities are eerie! This has been the worst 6 years, luckily the seventh is next year so I guess that means the Democrats will take over and impeach him? Yeah!
