Cara. It's Italian and means "darling". My mom wanted to name me Cara Mia which means "my darling", but they stuck with Cara. In Spanish it means "face", In Japanese it means either "pearl" or "diamond", I can't remember. In Irish, it's spelled Kara and I believe it means "friend".

My given name is in English since I was born in the United States but I was also given a Chinese name by my parents which translates into a beauty that is rare or a beautiful high ranking woman depending on how you pronounce it.

Chinese people name their kids something they want them to be. So, I'm sure my parents are pissed they didn't name me something intelligent because yes I am attractive I cut the hell out of school.

Yes, it means that my parents argued frequently...

My first name is actually two names separated by a dash: Nikolai-Alachenko.

My parents argued over which one to name me, and both refused to let the other win. So, I have two first names now. I just prefer to be called Nikolai though because it is too long otherwise, and Alachenko is not so common...
