you mentioned jeans, blues and browns work really well together
must say I'm not that keen on brown and black a bit too dull for my liking.
Can look striking with white.....but white pants can be a no, no on some people

The color I generally match is bright green like the Yahoo Answers web page (but generally not pants)....you could try green, perhaps a gentle shade of orange.

I'd say a hunter green or dark forest green would look great, especially for fall. Brown pants and sweater is too much, I think.

I have a burnt orange colored pair of gauchos that i wear with brown shirts... i guess it depends on the color brown though!

how about black??? or a tangerine color...or a deeper orange...any of the fall colors go with brown...think of autumn leaves...golden, yellows, burnt orange...deeper reds.....etc.
