Hundreds???
Get one of those bug zappers and fly tape. Plus, don't keep food out and try to clean up!

Often these will breed in your water drain even if the water is flowing easily. Use a liquid drain opener to help clear any build up there may be. Afterward you can pour a very small amount of ammonia in the sink and it does work. It takes just a little bit so do not over-do it.
There is another trick where you can pour Lemon Liquid Joy into a small glass until it is half full and add 1 or 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar it will also help clear the stubborn ones.

Do you live in the South? I understand completely. And it's not about being unclean or anything. You can just get out of the shower after spending all day cleaning your house and open a door and the little devils swarm in. I don't know what to do about them except wait for winter when they die off.
Good Luck!

I had that problem in my apartment. Tons of nats were coming from the drain for the dish washer in the kitchen. If this is the case for you than run your dishwasher. It will definitely end the problem. Hope this helps!
