Mine is struggling.
My best friends are up and down.
One co workers is struggling.
Several divorced people at work that I know.
One couple I know doesn't talk about deep issues.
Lots of women vent at work...but still happy they are married.
I think the state of happiness fluctuates...so that makes it complicated to measure. All marriages struggle. If I had to guess percentages, I think that 90% newly weds are happy even though most are experiencing major adjustment shock ...some degree of regret; at the second year 80 percent are happy. 50 percent still happy at 7 years...fluctuates up until l20 years...at 20 years, 90 percent of those still who are still married have found a happy medium or learned how to give and take in a way that works for them. Im only guessing. If people could be honest, it would be nice to know...but Im guessing that the answer would change...based on whether a couple is experiencing growing pains, have just had a major conflict, or if they have just kissed and made up, or are content and proud of their recent accomplishments. Another factor that must be considered is whether or not this is the couples first or second marriage?

Well almost half in the US aren't, because they tend to end in divorce. So given that, I'd say a very small percentage. Marriage is one of the hardest things you'll ever do, if you want it to last. Everyday is a new game......

95% of mine is happy we have 2 kids age 10.5, 8.5, i'm 30 weeks pregnant. We have very few ups and downs. On avarage i think only 35% of couples are as content with their marriage as I am with mine.
