"Teacher Lady" is right about the urine; it has to do with the acidity level of the urine that causes the infected area to become hostile for the fungus. That's what they would tell you in the Armed Services here in the USA back in the 60s and 70s.
Believe it or not, if you can also soak your feet in cheap generic mouth (has alcohol) wash for a few minutes before you go to bed... and you urinate on your feet as you shower... that WILL certainly help you.
Your main problem is that you are constantly re-infecting yourself with your footwear and socks (even though you wash them). You must take the time out to let the fungus dry out (without using foortwear and socks; get rid of the old footwear and socks and buy new ones AFTER you cure your feet of the infection... otherwise, you will continue to infect yourself back and forth repeatedly). Try to keep your feet as dry as possible. That's a start.
Good luck and best wishes.

Yes your doctor gave you good advice! Lotrimin is an antifungal medication.Thrush is a fungal infection caused by your body's good bacteria getting knocked out of whack generally by antibiotics during delivery. If you don't treat your nipples for thrush all you are going to do is give it back to your baby every time baby eats. Apply the foot cream after baby eats so by the time he's hungry again it will have absorbed into your skin and also wiped off onto your breast pads(or bra). Another really good idea is to go get some acidophalus and take that each day. It will restock the good biotics in your system to fight off the yeast infection. FYI... be sure not to freeze any milk you may be pumping since it does have thrush in it and freezing it will not kill of the yeast. It's recommended it be used within 48 hours or dumped. Once you have cleared up the infection dump any nipples and binkies you may have been using and get new ones. A good way to kill off yeast from clothing is to use vinegar in your wash water. Also another "natural" way to help clear up the yeast infection is to make a vinegar/water solution and use that to rinse your nipples after each feedings and to rinse baby's tush after each diaper change and allow plenty of air time so his skin dries well. Yeast thrives in dark moist areas so the more you can keep his skin dry the better he'll feel.

The clotrimazole cream USP, 1% that's been mentioned here is usually called 'Canesten' in the UK (and usually available in Asia)- also comes in tablet form. Get that. Although smearing the cream version on it whenever you can, especially after careful drying afgter a shower, works wonders. Takes a few days, but clears up every time.

wash feet - then soak in common vinegar, or plain ethyl alcohol. 5 minutes at least, then dry off. Also spray with pure lemon juice, And apply tincture of iodine repeatedly on the fungal areas. Betadine is perfect cream. It's 1% iodine. will stain socks, though.
don't despair. There is hope. Be patient.

Ask an Army medic.. One cleared mine up in nothing flat by swabbing-on a solution of formaldehyde many years ago and I've never had a problem with that since then. Sounds strange but it really worked .

Your problem with access to remedies defies my solution. But just in case you can swing it, try "clotrimazole cream USP, 1%". That is Wal-Mart's generic answer to Lotrimin. It really works. In fact, it works on many fungal diseases, including the skin fungus causing white or brown spots on the skin. If possible, give it a try.

miconazole nitrate 2% will clear it right up, but it will probably come back in about 6 or 7 months, ive been dealing with it for nearly 20 yrs, this is the best long lasting cream.

Yea, I've also hear that peeing in the shower clears up athletes foot. Urine is extremely sanitary, so I don't think it would be bad for it. But theres a new spray out, can't remember the name...but wash your feet, towel dry, spray your feet, put DRY/CLEAN socks on.

I have to say that i have never found that pee worked for me - i wish! A simple solution and free!!! If you don't get it cleared up - like i didnt, then you end up with fungal nails on your toes and they are horrible. The nails separate from the bed with all this stuff underneath, and with the nails raised, you catch them on things and it is painful. So do try to get it cleared up. Never stop trying. Now i'm trying to get rid of fungal nails and its impossible.

This may sound really gross, but I know people who swear by it. Pee on your feet in the shower. Whatever the chemical is in your pee will kill the athlete's foot in a few days.
