I think if they make it to the World Series, they will get swept by the Tigers. The Tigers have dominating pitch, much better than the Mets. The Cardinals have lost to a rookie in a deciding game (Maine) and a pitcher who was in the minors (Perez).

If you mean that "the best team" would have finnished 13 1/2 games behind the Mets if the Cards were still in the NL east. Incidentally that would have been behind, the Mets, Phillies, and Marlins.
Go, Cards, go strait home to pick up your golf clubs.

Yes they have a chance, they have to win tomorrow night. If Oliver Perez pitches like he did earlier in the series then they have no chance.
