I wrote this for everyone who has lost their father, including myself.
My Dad
My dearest dad 'I love you',
I think of you each day.
I feel your arms around me,
that's how I get through my days.
Your looking down upon me,
to guide me on my way,
but its very hard without you,
each and every single day.
People always tell me,
the grieving will subside.
But how can I feel better,
without you by my side.
No matter how hard they try,
there is always so much pain,
I am all consumed by thinking,
It will never, be the same.
I know one day we'll meet,
in the Heavens up above.
It's the only thing that helps me,
to never forget, your love.
My dearest Dad, I love you,
Your with me every day.
I will keep this love within me,
forever, until that beautiful day.

Kenny that was really great, having lost my Dad ( Pop is what I called him) when I was 19, I know just how you feel. If you want to honor your father become the best man you can be, I am sure he was already proud of you.

This says it all. I lost my father just after my divorce. I really needed him in my life at that time, and my kids needed their "paw-paw". I still feel an empty space in my life for the time I wasted instead of spending it with him. We always seem to think that there is going to be time later in life to spend with our parents, but God is the only one to know their time.

I lost my beautiful father years ago . I still miss all the love we shared. I think that was the most precious words I have ever heard. May your father be reading them right now .He woud be so proud of you. and thanks for writing such a beautiful poem for all of us without our fathers. May the good Lord bless you.Be sure to thank your other father , The Lord for giving you such a wonderful father. He would like to hear it from you. God bless you.The Lord was your first father. He blessed you with your biological father. How lucky can we be, to have two wonderful fathers.

Great poem.
I sympathize with you for your loss.
Be blessed that you had a father who was there for you. I never met my father until I was 33. When I did finally meet him...he was polite but cold and distant towards me.

That is avery moving poem for anyone who has lost their father. I lost mine 15 years ago and I do think of him still everyday. But it does get easier and soon you find that you just think of the goodtimes. Bless you for that poem.
