I like to play death metal and black metal, I own a BC Rich Warlock special edition and use a Metal Zone pedal, which pickups should I buy? Some friends have recommended the EMG 81 and 85 or EMG 81 and 60, which ones are the best for this kind of music? (I also play solos, so I need a good combo for riffs and soloing)

Yea man EMG's are awesome, go with the 81 and 85 combo or get specific ones like the Zakk Wylde EMG pickups. They are awesome pickups and are great for metal. They work well when cranking up the distortion and palm muting like crazy but also sound extremely clear and great sustain for clean parts and solos. You cant go wrong, EMG's are some of my favorite pickups.

Decent pickups for that guitar will cost more than the guitar is worth. Go get a decent guitar if you're serious about your music. BC Rich = entry level quality. Get a Gibson or a PRS, and a quality amp (TUBES!!!)

EMG makes good pickups for the style, i also would consider seymour duncan. they make a wide variety, look for their 'dirty finger' and grunge types. i myself prefer gibson '57 classics for overall sound and warm tone. happy hunting.
