No, they will not have any identity problems as long as you let them know that they are biracial and teach them to appreciate both cultures instead of just telling them they are just one or making them feel like they will have to make a choice of choosing one or the other based on their skin color or how they may appear to look to the outside world....

Nope. It depends on how they are raised. I'm a product of "miscegenation" as they used to say in the deep South, and I did OK: survived high school, did a stint in the military, went to college, got the degree, landed a job with the government, and raised a "biracial" daughter who is doing just fine.

I think a lot will depend on how people will treat him/her. Might also depend on how the kid looks. I've seen some that don't even look mixed race but were.
Most importantly I think it depends on how you raise them. At an early age teach them to be proud of who they are. Also teach them about people being ignorant and racisit. That way when he/she goes to school they wont get hit as hard with it if the kids are mean.

Not necessarily. My friend is 1/3 peurto rican, 1/3 black, and 1/3 white, raised by a white mother, but she embraces all of her heritage, and has never that I know of, had problems.

No. Today, there are so many mixed relationships that it's not the stigma it used to be. How you raise your child is what counts. If you don't include her African American side, though, I can see that maybe giving her/him some problems later on, but why wouldn't you include that in their upbringing?
