I had some AP chemistry questions from the old review book, but there arent any "anwser key" for those questions..so i am just wondering maybe u can help me :D thx

1. Which of the following does NOT accurately describe a characteristic of gases?
a) Gas molecules can be "squeezed together" to fit into a container.
b) The gas we exhale expands out continuously into the atmosphere.
c) The vapors of two immiscible liquid (liquids that do not mix together, but form separate layers) will mix completely
d) If a large container is filled with a small amount of gas, the gas will occupy only a portion of the container.
e) One must include the temperature, pressure, volume occupied and number of moles of molecules to completely describe a gas.

In 1: (a),(b) and (c) are true.

(d) is false. Any gas with always expand to fill the entire volume available.

For (e) PV = n RT where R is the ideal gas constant. For the "temperature, pressure, volume occupied and number of moles of molecules" only three are needed to calculate the fourth.

For 2:
699 torr / 760 torr/atm = 0.9197 atm

one torr = 1 mmHg, so 699 torr = 699 mmHg

699 torr = 93.19 kPa
