Sims2 pets was released today I hear it had a teaser to the new expansion pack in the making. If you go to the main site it will tell you this and it has a picture that might be a part of this 5th expansion pack. From the picture it looks like it will involve seasons or weather. Witch is something that the Sims has forgotten about. Rain , Fall , Snow , winter , perhaps thunder storms or tornado's? Does anyone know what the 5th expansion pack is going to be call or what it is about? Has anyone gotten the game yet that should shed some light on it for me. Thanks.

I think the next one will have to do with vacations , weather or seasons.

The Sims 2: In Season (working title) is the fifth expansion pack in The Sims 2 series of games. In Season has not yet been officially announced by EA, but a flyer promoting it shipped with The Sims 2: Pets.

"Give your Sims a break and get them out of the house! This upcoming expansion pack for the Sims 2 lets you to take your Sims outside where they can engage in fun seasonal activities including snowball fights, playing pool games like Marco Polo, and more. They can frolic in Spring showers, fish in their own ponds, and grow seasonal fruits with unexpected consequences. Whether you build them a small Winter chalet or a Summer cabin, your Sims will enjoy every season - but watch out for unpredictable weather! Available Early 2007."

The game was confirmed by Maxis on the 17th October 2006, with a picture on the front page of TheSims2.com and the text "The teaser for Expansion Pack 5 was in The Sims™2 Pets PC game! Stay tuned for more info..."

They can grow rare fruits with unexpected results.
You can build your Sim a little winter villa or a summer hut, possibly hinting that a Sim can now own two or more homes.

I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure it'll be exactly like the Sims game: On Vacation or Holiday (depending where your from). Because think about it, all the other expansions have pretty much been similar to its predessors. Pets is like the Pets expansion on the original Sims, Nightlife is like Hot Date, it's only a matter of time before they imitate On Vacation, and I'm sure this is it.

On the official Sims2 website forum(BBS) there is now a section under expanrion packs called "let's talk about the weather...". I don't know if this is the title but you can go there for discussion about it.
