The Tensing and Differential Relaxation Method
1. Put your feet flat on the floor.
2. With your hands, grab underneath the chair.
3. Push down with your feet and pull up on your chair at the same time for about five seconds.
4. Relax for five to ten seconds.
5. Repeat the procedure two or three times.
6. Relax all your muscles except the ones that are actually used to take the test

The Palming Method
1. Close and cover your eyes using the center of the palms of your hands.
2. Prevent your hands from touching your eyes by resting the lower parts of your palms on your cheekbones and placing your fingers on your forehead. Your eyeballs must not be touched, rubbed or handled in any way.
3. Think of some real or imaginary relaxing scene. Mentally visualize this scene. Picture the scene as if you were actually there, looking through your own eyes.
4. Visualize this relaxing scene for one to two minutes.

Deep Breathing
1. Sit straight up in your chair in a good posture position.
2. Slowly inhale through your nose.
3. As you inhale, first fill the lower section of your lungs and work your way up to the upper part of your lungs.
4. Hold your breath for a few seconds.
5. Exhale slowly through your mouth.
6. Wait a few seconds and repeat the cycle.

Study well for the week before the test. Do no testing the night before though. Get a good night's rest the night before also. In the morning have a nice breakfast. Nothing too big or too small.

Ah heck, if none of the above works just take several deep breaths. Imagine a place where you'd much rather be than taking the test. Spend a few minutes concentrating on that place, then begin the test once you are calmed.

Is your anxiety due to lack of preparation for the test? If you've properly prepared and still have anxiety you probably need to learn to relax and or have more confidence in yourself.

You don't need to vist a doctor or any pills. That is wrong for someone to tell you that. OMG American answer for everything pills. One approach to reducing test anxiety is to learn how to relax. It is possible for students to learn how to relax on cue, so that anxiety can be controlled during the exam.
Learning how to relax is fairly simple, but if you want to be able to do it on your next exam, you will have to practice it beforehand.

Follow these steps:

Get comfortable in your chair - slouch down if that helps.
Tighten, then relax different muscle groups of your body, one group at a time. Start with your feet, then move up your body to your neck and face.
Begin breathing slowly and deeply.
Focus your attention on your breath going in and out.
Each time you breathe out, say "relax" to yourself.

Before the test, study with friends and quiz eachother. Ask your teacher if she has a study guide. Get good sleep and food. During tests I chew gum because its relaxes me and its just something to keep yourself from getting distracted

what i do is have a study party =] all the people i know [that have that teacher spend the night at someones house. we quiz each other all night long and we almost ALWAYS get A's! HANDS DOWN!!

Talk with your family doctor and he/she will do an evaluation and if needed will put you on meds to help reduce the anxiety level.
