Really depends on how tight the bands are. You could render them useless in about an hour or so. If you catually manage to kill the tissue, it takes days for it to actually fall off. Then you run the risk of dying from infection, gangrene, etc. Just go get snipped. They use lidocaine at least.

Too long and if not done properly they're turn gangrenous and you'll likely die of blood poisoning. Where did you get this brainy idea?
Used to run a beef farm, couldn't bear to do it to the four legged critters, opted for the vet snipping them instead. Did see a grown bull that some idiot did and it didn't work. He went nuts and had to put down.

Go to the local farm and feed store and ask if you can borrow a lastrator. Buy an elastic band. Put it at the base of your balls and wait about a week.

I have a better solution for you, why wait till they fall off? Why not cut them off at your own leisure and sell them to a restaurant that specializes on mountain oyster recipes! Your question tells me that you need the money to take care of your upper head.
