You can make a make-shift A.$$ gasket out of toilet paper (just check yourself after to make sure it's not hanging out of your pants). Or, if you have anti-bacterial handwash with you you can always wipe the seat down with that.

nothing...I hover...safer that way. Toilet paper is too cheap in the public restrooms to offer any protection and I'm a germ a phobe, so I'm not about to bring anything home with me.

If there out of paper and I can't padded the seat, I usually swat and shake.
