he asked me, "do you want to go out" i thought he was jooking so i replied ok and he said i will pick you up at eight. He is a six foot three guy with a six pack blue eyes and brown hair so i doubt he's gay. but i mean we've been firends since 4th grade? any idea

Sounds like he just wanted to see if you wanted to go out that night with him. Nothing wrong with guys going out together.
As for being gay, he may be and then again he may not be. Just because he is tall etc doesn't make him NOT gay. Its not like all of them have the same look, gay isn't a distinguishing look its who you feel attracted to.

He might have meant to go out to pick up girls. But if by chance he is gay still be his friend. Gay people are just like me & you except we don't have to hide something for fear of being shunned upon.
