Ok i see the first problem in your statement, never ever put petroleum products on rubber unless it is written on the packagethat it can be placed on rubber cause the petroleum causes the rubber to swell and weaken the rubber molecules thuis causing it to break. now about the timing belt i cannot say for sure but if your timing belt did break on an Acura then you are going to need a new engine this is because it is an interference engine meaning if the timing belt or other timing components should break then the piston would hit the valves and break them also damage to the piston could occur. I cannot say for sure that the belt is broken from that description.

If it "whines" it may be the starter motor equipment grinding on the flywheel tooth. i've got had different lady clientele call that noise a whine. you will p.c. a sparkling flywheel and starter motor to repair that project. Have somebody turn the motor with a socket on the crankshaft pulley and then attempt the main lower back. which will circulate the flywheel to a solid spot that could paintings. If the noise is in basic terms a clicking noise that's a nasty battery.

i own a repair shop, and i think its pretty simple ,on it,someone may not have put the timing belt on right it,, has a tension er on it that might have been bad and they didn't replace it,anything is possible with it from what you have said about it mid say you need to have a good mechanic check it out,no one on here can hear it try to start so there for we can not give you an exact cause for what has gone wrong, all any of us can do is guess based on what you tell us all i can say is good luck with it,i hope This help,s.

If it's a fairly old car, sometimes there's a little spring in the start motor that gets stuck, preventing it from starting, resulting in a low pitched hum and somtimes a sparking noise.
To fix, bash the outside of the starter motor with something hard like a metal pipe or something. (Do it about as hard as you could punch a desk without hurting yourself.)

it's whining because you put that cheap gas in there.
jesus man, start buying the gourmet expensive gas..pay up..and get the premium stuff.
no wonder your car wants to stall out on you in the middle of the road and make you look stupid.
