I agree, the easiest way is to use your garden hose. The leaves usually clog near the elbows or bends in the downspouts. Remember not to hold your face over the opening when you turn the water on. If it's clogged close to the top, you'll get an eye full! If it doesn't work from the top you can try it from the bottom also. Eventually the leaves will soften and flow out. Good luck.

Use a garden hose or a heavy duty leaf blower to clear out the eaves. Use a stick to loosen it so that the blower will blow them out.
Gutter trough should be 4 in. wide at the bottom. Downspout is two inches by 3 inches. You need to be more specific on which part of your eaves you're talking about.

A power hose nozzle should do the trick, it washed out our problems and everything is flowing just fine.
