It's called a Lei (pronounced lay) and it's woven flowers not a necklace. And they don't do it all the time. For example, if you fly to Hawaii, don't expect a lei. It's a lot more common in tv and movies.

they are called hawaiian leis hons or puca- shel necklacess got a huge collection of them threw our travels as male modells hons hy gay boyfriends davey and steevie hons and its my homestate(daveey)!!
