Microwave is vary similar to radio/TV waves, their wave lengths are in microns very small. They penitrate the food and the friction or stoping of it, generates the heat, heat is caused due to their penitration or even stoping. The heat is created in two ways, this heat, is what coocks the food.
It can also burn the food just like any stove or oven.

Purely debatable! Microwaves speed up the movement of cell reactions in water (which are contained in almost all food things) which heats the food. The question is, does that effect the food or not?

Microwaves excite the particles that make up the food, so the particles smack against each others and create heat, thus heating the food. They don't necesarily affect the food, like cooking on fire, which can change the composition of the surface of that cooked food.

microwaves generated in the appliance just go into the food and make the particles to vibrate making them hot,( that is why food gets hot from inside first.) so the conclusion is that it does nothing except heating and thus cooking our food. it does not make it dangerous in any way.
