Source of the Ganga high in India's Himalayas—designed specifically for those interested in meditation and in accelerating their own personal/spiritual growth through a retreat in one of the great remote spiritual centers of the world. An abundance of sacred sights, intimate encounters with sadhus, swamis, and saints, delicious local North Indian cuisine, comfortable and clean accommodations. Majestic beyond compare, this region of Himalayas is considered by many world travelers to be the most physically beautiful area in the world. The very birthplace of meditation and yoga, it is also as rich with spiritual history as with natural beauty. Here, for countless millennia, saints and sages have taken refuge to perform intense spiritual practices. The Gods and Goddesses are said to dwell here and for centuries Hindu devotees have journeyed to Gangotri to visit the source of that holiest of holy rivers: the Ganga. http://www.ajayan.com/retreatitinerary.htm

I would think from my experience any one of the energy vortex's in the world would be the greatest place to meditate. I personally would love to meditate in Mount Shasta.

Actually, all places are good! Every inch of the earth, every place in the world! You may begin with your own most favourite, quiet place in your own home or work place or park or lake shore, on a quiet day, in a quiet moment, when youare in a happy frame of mind, when every thing is going well for you! You'll then find meditation is so good, so easy! Good luck, find your harmony and peace, and your place for the quiet, stillness of meditation!

On a beach where no one goes and you can feel the warm sun on your face the cool breeze in your hair and the sounds of the ocean like a soft meditational chant.
Yet normally I meditate at home in my living room when I am alone.

The headwaters of Boulder Creek, in Boulder, Colorado. It's a glacier melting to create the creek, and the boulders in it were left by the glacier.
Beautiful!
