Yes, so does yes really mean no?
But that is unfair to no, why can't no just mean no, and yes can mean yes. BECAUSE we are humans and we want life to be fair and it isn't, we like to get what we want. That's why the word yes is never questioned!

In human communication there are many ways to understand a "no" or a "yes". Could be that no means yes or that no means no but later becomes a yes....

It usually means NO if it is repeated several times. The first time it is uttered could mean yes. Read the body language, it is a better indication. However, if the person is holding a knife or a gun or a frying pan, believe the first NO and walk away fast!!
