You must be a city person. In places like Oklahoma and Texas, among others, people actually own horses, cows and other types of animals we call "livestock".
I have't seen a horse whiz recently, but I can tell you-- a typical cow seems like it could fill a ten gallon bucket in ten seconds flat.
Hence the phrase "..Rain like a cow pi**ing on a flat rock."

Wow, look at all those answers. Just by asking about a horse doing something naturally. But we can never really pee like a race horse because our bladders cannot hold that much. But wouldn't it be great for long distance drives if you could hold all of that until you had a chance to get rid of it. Boggles the mind. Or not.

All horses urinate alike. I think the idea of a race horse it built on the theory that they have to hold their urine until the end of the race. Have you ever seen the flow and force that comes out from a horse. If you have, that in itself, would explain why that terms is used.

I watched a giraffe once in the Washington Zoo. I swear, I thought it would NEVER end. It formed a huge puddle (I know, more info. than you needed to know ) To answer your question.. It means you have a lot of "P" you have to do, and a little time to do it.
