They might view it as a dangerous threat to the existence of mankind on this planet because of parochial influence on the politics of many countries the subsequent wars caused by the petty self-interests and narrow minded views of those countries. Couple that with the knowledge of how to create nuclear, biological and chemical weapons and you have a recipe for disaster.
A humanist believes in rationality, universal morality, and the
dignity and worth of all people. A humanist rejects the idea that any people have a God given right to force their ideology either directly or indirectly on others.

According to the Wikipedia, "Humanism is a ... ethical philosoph[y] that affirm[s] the dignity and worth of all people, based on the ability to determine right and wrong by appeal to universal human qualities, particularly rationalism. ... Humanism entails a commitment to the search for truth and morality through human means in support of human interests. ..."

I'd say humanists would think we have quite a bit of work to do to make this world a better place for all of us.
