Unfortunately there is no good solution to bring about peace in Iraq, we can't even stop the infighting within our government, so why should we be able to stop theirs....beyond that we need to concentrate on giving them information they need for the infrastructure of their country, possibly intermediary advisors, preferably from the U.N., and set up embassies as well. Finish training the Iraqi troops and police...set them up with non-lethal weaponry to halt violence, and get the h*ll out. But unfortunately we won't do that. Bush wants to protect his futures in oil and his administration won't leave until the government is set up according to THEIR plan...Bummer
P.S. before and after we leave we need to address the humanitarian crisis in Iraq as well.

I fear it is too late. There was an opportunity in 2003 to actually take the hearts of the Iraqi people, but it was lost. We are in a swamp now, I don't like the idea one bit, but if we are still there in 2010, I would say it would be a complete disaster...in Biblical proportions.
Just try to get things in some limited order...tell the leaders in Iraq we are leaving in 6 months...then LEAVE.

This country is suppose to be "free" and "democratic", so why can't they vote on whether or not we should be there?
Their leaders should be told on a date when we are leaving. Our Valued Soldiers are getting killed in a Civil War. Whoever wins, we lose. Let them handle it. Besides, the only thing all the people in Iraq agree on is that WE SHOULDN'T BE THERE.

We cannot bring them peace and democracy if they do not want it. I would pull out. If they collapse into civil war, that is their problem. I dont want my son, who is a soldier, dying to help those insurgent bastards have a better life. Hell, they're the ones trying to kill him in the first place.

Well for starters, I sure wouldn't invade their Country for absolutely no reason and lie to the world about it before, during and after all the while killing our troops.
The second thing I wouldn't do is scrap the bill of rights or ignore the constitution I swore to protect during my swearing in. Bush killed America yesterday....show so respect!

I'd tell Britney and Madonna (I mean, um, ESTHER) to get their a*sses over there and to start shakin' it for the Iraqis.

Feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, rebuilding what we have destroyed, showing love and kindness, and giving them back their country would be good for starters.

Arrest all Iraqis and turn Iraq into one giant prison camp for terrorists and liberals. The Iraqis need to earn their freedom...not by just giving it to them! Freedom isn't free you know.
