i seem to be a person who has a alot of acidity in my stomach- for one, i dont burp, and when i do, its very acidic. i've found that i've had bad hangover almost every time, despite how much, how littlei drink, and whether i eat before or after i drink. and when i am hungover, i feel extremley naseated, always. i think this has something to do with the high acid concentration in my stomach, which alchohol being acidic i assume it only makes it worse?
does it sound like i have a stomach conditon, an ulser perhaps? if its something i could treat, because ive suspected i've had a stomach problem for a while.

Take antiacid if u think u have a very acidic stomach. As far as I recalled alcohol is basic; and also the acidity of ur stomach is kept at a very specific pH. There can be small variation between individuals as to the actual value but ur body works to keep the pH constant in ur stomach, and it should not flunctuate at all for a given person; this is because pepsin, the enzyme that break down protein in ur stomach, is only active within a very narrow pH range so no ur problem is not due to stomach acidity. To sum up, no, hungover has no relationship with stomach pH.
Also if u have bad hungover stick to alcohol that is light in colour; the congener in dark coloured alcohol contribute to the hangover. Stick to things like vodka and u wont have problems; try not to get drunk on wine they give u horrendous hangovers.

If you have an ulcer you will have lots of pain what you probably have is acid reflux or heartburn. You should try balancing your diet better you are probably eating small snacks all day or before bed at night. Buy yourself some tums or Rolaids and chew one when necessary. While using the tums get back on a regular three meals a day. Also try putting a couple thick books under the feet at the head of your bed, I know this sounds weird< but it will elevate your body a little and keep the acid down. Ive had the same problem before oh yeah and cheap beer or lots of sugar will do the same thing. Anyway hope this helps. one more thing a quick cheap home remidy is warm water 1cup with 2tbs baking soda just drink it down, it really relives the acid, tastes bad though very salty

The stomach normally secretes acid that is essential in the digestive process. This acid helps in breaking down the food during digestion. When there is excess production of acid in the stomach, it results in the condition known as "stomach acidity" A weakness of the valve between the stomach and oesophagus (food pipe) can cause a reflux of the acid from the stomach to the lower part of the oesophagus. This gastro-oesophageal reflux can cause "heart-burn".

You could be allergic to alcohol! You probably have GERD - a stomach condition & I highly recommend that you make an appointment with your doctor ASAP. An ulcer is nothing to fool with. Good luck & be well!
