"I read on the news today that a woman in another country was killed because of her religious beliefs, yet I complain about traffic."
- Starbucks Coffee customer

What do you think about this statement? Should we stop being too over exagerating over small and insignificant things? Or what's your opinion?

Yeah i do think we fret and are concerned with the less worldly impactful things in this life. But also it is becasue of our lifestyle, the same levels of stress and pressures are recorded at a very normal average for the entire world. What i mean here is that despite we have the luxuries and benefits of being a vastly rich community, we still undergo pressures that we find hard to handle. Similar to other countries where they may be concerned more about needs than wants but then again this is what they are subjected to everyday.

In other words while we worry about the seemingly little things, it is still a concern to us at the time. We should be able then to worry about both things. Those in less fortunate countries may not care at all that someone was executed for their religion. Perhaps it is the more fortunate people that care enough to notice this and try to do something about it if they can. We are more likley to realise when a freedom is infringed because we have so many. If you did not have so many perhaps you would not notice this.

Having said that perhaps youare right and more of us fortunate people who ahve noticed this atrocity should be acting upon it in the ways we can.

I take that statement as indicative of the Blessing of living in the USA.

LIke it or not, the people of a society are largely to thank or to blame for the political structure they inhabit. We may pity the victims of brutal regimes, but it is ultimately the responsibility of each nation to throw off oppressive governments and to find a way to live in peace.

That traffic and petty annoyances are our biggest concerns is a tribute to the men and women who vame before us and secured liberty and prosperity for thia land.

We are so far removed from the meaning of life sometimes I wonder if humanity will ever get the bigger picture. I have hopes they will some day but it sure is slow and moving. Yes I do think we do not understand how hard others have life. One must visit Bombay India to truly appreciate how much we are spoiled by the riches of life.
