From the Add/Remove Programs control panel, click the "Show updates" checkbox at the top and then scroll down until you find "Windows Internet Explorer 7" and uninstall it. This will revert you back to IE6, and will require a reboot.
However, you really shouldn't do this. IE7 is more secure, has better features (anti-phishing, tabs without having to install the Windows Live Toolbar), and is more standards-compliant. The real question is, what do you dislike about version 7?

I don't like it either. But in a couple of months, every new computer will have it. Soon after, you'll see apps that say "need IE 7 to run". Keep it and get used to it. Then in 2007, when others come in here complaining that they can't figure something out, you'll be scoopin up "tens" left and right.
I don't think you can install 6 over 7, and if you uninstall 6, you lose your favorites...
Um, if you unistall IE 7 first, how can you "just go to" a website and download something? No browser...

Go back to Microsoft's download site and look for version 6. You may want to just give yourself time to get used to the new one first. Chances are that any new websites will require version 7 soon because they'll have to be displayed on a version equal to or newer than what they were created on.

Go to start, control panel, add or remove programs, and uninstall Windows Internet Explorer 7. Then go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/default.mspx and download it and install. There you go, hope it helps!

Very simple. Click Start in your taskbar --> programs --> accesories ---> system tools --> system restore.
Restore your system to the date you still had the old version, and everything will go back, just to that date.
