What is the word for a neutral society or ideal? I'm looking for the technical term paralell to partriarchy and matriarchy.

Transiarchy isn't a word

Neutral is too vague and I doubt it's the technical paralell word for the latter two.

I don't think Equality works either, still to vague and isn't directly related to the other two. There's gotta be a word for it.

seems such as you are going to could tutor that one existed earlier you could answer this question, see excerpt under: even with the incontrovertible fact that many contemporary anthropologists and sociologists assert that there are not any frequent examples of human matriarchies from any factor in history, [2][3][4][5][6][7] there isn't any consensus approximately this question. Encyclopædia Britannica lists matriarchy as a "hypothetical social gadget".[8], yet some examples of matrifocal societies are listed in "modern-day matrifocal societies" element of this text. The Britannica article is going directly to notice, "The view of matriarchy as constituting a point of cultural progression is now often discredited. in addition to, the consensus between contemporary anthropologists and sociologists is that a strictly matriarchal society in no way existed."[9] for greater suggestions see the appendix Patriarchies in dispute

Most people misunderstand the genuine anthropological term 'matriarchy'.

It is NOT the mirror image of patriarchy (which is patrilineal, patrilocal, and often, pretty oppressive of women).

Matriarchy is matrilineal (property rights go thru the mother's line) and matrilocal (sons-in-laws take up residence with the mother-in-law), but not particularly oppressive of men.

English lacks an adequate word for the present situation where we are no longer patri- or matri-local and property rights are governed by pre-nups.
