An article is supposed to be balanced, with both sides of the story equally reported. An editorial is the opposite; it is a person's opportunity to tell his or her own opinion.

An editorial is written by the editot or editorial staff of anewpaper or magazine. It is considered the that publications opinion about something; like whn a newspaper endorese a candidate for president, or why schools need to a better job of education students. Opinion AND states that publications position. Editorials are usally kept to one section of the paper, and will be clearly labeled.

An article is fact-based, and is not supposed to take a position, but keep things fair and balanced, with different points of view when possible. Just the facts, no opinions.

ie. Article says economy is good. Editorial says it's Bush's fault.
