You know what...even as a guy I don't know what a girl should get a guy, haha.
If you want to go practical-we love cologne. It's fun stuff.
If you want meaning-do something from your heart. I know for me, if someone made something for me I'd really appreciate it. Something he can look at everyday and think about you. Good for you and him both right!?
